Lenovo Laptop

LENOVO G505:

I have been using a Lenovo G505 laptop for a while, perhaps two months in total. I use it in my home, and also at a nearby coffee shop where I can meet clients and show them my work. This was successful until the start of the week, when suddenly the screen has gone completely black. I have not been able to get the computer to boot into Safe Mode, or any other screen apart from the initial splash screen. The problem is that I have a lot of data on the drive which is a combination of portfolios with examples of previous work, projects which are in the process of being completed, and files relating to recent clients who have yet to pay me. I don’t keep any backups of most of the files, as I thought that the laptop would be good enough. I don’t want to lose that data, particularly not the commissioned work which would mean that I would have to pay clients back since I couldn’t finish the work.

LENOVO LAPTOP:

I have a Lenovo laptop which is having problems working. I run a graphics design business which is mostly conducted online. When I go to visit clients, or when they come to me, I can show them work on the laptop, and give them proposals or suggestions about what their project might look like. Clients often have ideas of their own, and use USB files on the laptop to demonstrate this. A large number of files are saved in the laptop’s documents folders. However, since last week the laptop will not open programs at all. I can get into the desktop, which often takes more than an hour to boot, but when I press the icon for any program, the laptop just shows me an error saying ‘program not responding’. This message is then followed by the page freezing, which means that I can’t show clients their data, and I also can’t open up or access any of the graphic design data that I have previously saved on the laptop. I have put off a system restore or a reinstall because I don’t want to lose the data.
