There are four steps to recovering your data should you suffer a hardware storage failure. We recommend that before you discard the device you contact us either via email or telephone. One of our friendly and knowledgeable engineers will talk through the problems you have and will offer a diagnosis as to what has caused the problem. At the same time they will offer you a free quotation with a fixed price. This price is the only price you will pay if you agree to have us recover your data. There are no hidden charges. If you do agree to have us recover your data the item itself needs to be securely packaged before sending it to us. We recommend ensuring that the storage device cannot move around freely inside the packaging to avoid further damage. You can send the drive, USB stick, or other storage device to us via Royal Mail (we recommend registered or special delivery) or by courier. You will find a shipping form on the Contact Us page. Alternatively if you work or live in the Reading area you might like to drop the storage device into our offices and discuss your options with one of our engineers. We love to speak to potential clients to demonstrate our expert knowledge. Even after you have sent your storage device to us there is no obligation to proceed. One of our engineers will check it over and contact you to confirm the nature of the problem and also the prices as discussed previously. If at this point you are happy to proceed and are happy with the fee we will then pass the storage device along the chain to our recovery department where work will begin as soon as possible.
If You Avail Of Our Services How Do We Recover Your Data?
When we have recovered the data on your failed hard drive etc. our engineer will contact you by telephone to explain what has happened. They will also send you an email which will list in detail the nature of everything on the recovered data; this includes a detailed directory listing as well as a series of screenshots that will prove that we have done what we set out to do. The average time taken to recover a hard drive is 2-3 days but it can be done faster (discuss this option with the engineer).
How And When Will You Get Your Data Back?
Having verified the data over the telephone and via email and have confirmed to us that everything has been recovered to your satisfaction all we ask is for full payment via credit or debit card, cheque or bank transfer. There is no charge for using a card to pay us. When the payment has been received we will make a backup of your data, putting it onto the medium of your choice. We can send this back to you using a next day courier service, the price of which is already included in what you have paid, or if you are in the area you can collect the data backup yourself.
