Samsung Hard Disk Data Recovery Problems
Samsung SpinPoint P Series SP2014N 200GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache IDE Ultra ATA133 / ATA-7 3.5″
I am trying to help out a friend regarding his problem with his Samsung Spinpoint P series hard drive. I believe his drive is infested with Trojan viruses so I am trying to remove the virus but it has corrupted all his data so I cannot reformat the hard drive until the data is extracted. I have tried to run various anti-virus programs against the hard drive to remove the viruses which I think I have done but the data is still corrupt.
Samsung Q-Series Laptop with Q530 Hard Drive
I have a Samsung NP-Q530-JS02SE laptop and I am having a devastating problem with it. I was just browsing on the Internet last night (I was on Facebook and just searching stuff on Google) when my computer crashed. Then, I got a blue screen of death (BSOD). I restarted the computer but when it turned on, I heard strange beeps for about two seconds. All I can see is the blue Samsung logo on the screen with options “Press F2 for Restart, F4 for Recovery.” I pressed F2 and then I was told to wait. I waited for about 10 minutes but nothing happened. I pressed F4 and the same thing occurred, I was told to wait but then nothing happened. I pressed ESC after and I got a black screen with information about the processor and the system. I am not sure if I created a Samsung recovery disc before but I was trying to look for it but I couldn’t find it. I have ubuntu on my USB so I decided to stick that on the computer but still nothing happened. It wouldn’t booth either. I tried the ubuntu CD but it doesn’t work as well. I decided to take out the hard drive from the computer but now I no longer get the beeping sound. The screen moves past the Samsung logo but loads an error saying “No operating system found.” I press F2 and I was able to enter BIOS. I can also boot on the CD drive. I tried booting on the CD drive but I still cannot find my hard drive. I tried plugging the HDD on a desktop PC but I still cannot find it. I think the HDD is the problem.
