Whether your town is listed here or not makes no difference. Every postcode is quoted for by telephone or via the form before the media is sent, tracked and insured. Once it arrives, it is placed on a bench on the same day. There are sixteen separate town pages below.

Will your cover reach my postcode?
Yes. If a parcel can be sent to us by tracked courier, we will be able to help you. Most of the items that we get delivered have an RG postcode on them; however, a steady share also arrives from OX11, and many arrive from outside both. Wherever your parcel started, we will always cover the cost of returning it.
Is the post the risky part?
How the item is packed decides this, rather than distance. A single external hard drive travels whole in its enclosure, along with its cable and power supply. A NAS sends the individual disks that make up its storage pool, each labelled with the bay it came from, if they come out; otherwise it goes whole. Arrays are the opposite: remove the disks from the server, RAID set or multi-disk external, label each disk with its bay, and send the disks bare. Do the same with a disk removed from a laptop, tower or video recorder. Pad all sides of the box before posting it by a tracked service with insurance.
Can you collect it from me?
We do not have a delivery vehicle and we do not collect items. Generally a tracked parcel will arrive sooner than waiting for a driver, and it leaves less opportunity for errors. If you wish to hand-deliver an item, it can be dropped off at the Oxford intake lab, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm, no appointment needed. Please contact us before posting if your item includes a server or a large array, or is being held as evidence, so that we can agree the best way for it to travel.
I am nowhere near Reading — should I use somebody local?
Choose the bench and not the postcode. We do not collect anything from anyone, so a parcel arriving from three houses away will be handled identically to one coming from the other end of the country: both will be logged and looked at when they arrive, and both will receive the same fixed price in writing. A single drive is £300 + VAT; RAID sets, NAS boxes and servers begin at £500 + VAT. In most cases you only pay if we recover your data.
